Everett Front Porch Replacement

What Our Client Said

“Tool and Trade built a new deck on the front of my house. Drew, the owner, and Brian, his employee, did an excellent job. It looks beautiful and I'm getting many compliments on it.

Drew is very professional and meticulous with his work. He responded quickly to any questions or changes I had. I decided I wanted some extra railings and he had them installed the next day. He also came back promptly to fix a slight issue with a faucet access door I have on the deck. Drew also coordinated the landscaper work that was necessary to build a retaining wall and drainage in the front yard.

All in all a very good experience. I highly recommend him.”

The Project

This Everett homeowner reached out to us to replace her aging front deck after the stair framing had begun to fail from rot.

She wanted a new front porch that looked clean, felt safer to use, and would be easier to maintain long-term. Since dirt had been sitting against the existing deck frame, we also recommended adding a retaining wall as part of the rebuild to help protect the new structure and improve drainage around the front yard.

For the new porch, the client selected TimberTech Coconut Husk decking for a warm, natural look, paired with TimberTech Impression Rail Express aluminum railings for a clean, low-maintenance railing system.

We also installed low-voltage riser lights on both sets of stairs to improve visibility and add a warm, finished look in the evening.

To complete the project, we coordinated the necessary landscaping work, including the retaining wall and drainage improvements, so the new front porch would be better supported and more attractive from the street.
