Everett Covered Deck with Scenic Valley View

What Our Client Said

“Drew of Tool and Trade will be the first person I will call to hire for any future projects. He took a sketch of our dream deck and made it a reality. We couldn’t be more pleased with his professionalism, quality, and design. Not only is our second story deck beautiful, it’s solidly constructed. Two years later and our deck still looks brand new! My husband doesn’t easily hand over projects to others, so the fact that he entrusted Drew with this project also speaks volumes.”

The Project

This Everett homeowner reached out to us with a beautiful property overlooking the Snohomish River.

They had a small 2nd story back porch, but wanted to make better use of their limited backyard space. Their goal was to create a larger covered outdoor area where they could relax, enjoy the view, and have room for a cedar sauna.

The clients already had a design in mind, so we worked with them to turn their concept into a sturdy and attractive outdoor living space. The final design included an extension of the existing second-story porch, a cedar privacy panel on one side, and a polycarbonate deck cover over the entire space for year-round enjoyment.

For the railings, we used Wild Hog (silver) railing panels with a treated wood structure and a TimberTech Advanced PVC Weathered Teak drink rail to match the Weathered Teak PVC decking.

The result was a solid, spacious covered deck that made the most of a small lot while creating a perfect spot to enjoy the scenic view of the river.
