Edmonds Timber Frame Pergola & Cedar Gate

Edmonds timber frame pergola with privacy screen and black hardware over a backyard deck and garden

What Our Client Said

“We hired Drew and his crew to build a large pergola in our back yard. After we cut a large evergreen tree down we felt a need to restore privacy in between our house and our neighbors house. Drew and his employee Brian built a beautiful solid pergola that checked all the boxes of what we wanted the pergola to do. We were 100% pleased with the entire experience of working with Tool & Trade Construction. After this project was done we hired them to replace an old dysfunctional gate and trellis.

I gave Drew a magazine photo of a gate that I admired and the finished gate and trellis is exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend Tool & Trade Construction.”

- Mary

The Project

Mary and her husband, Rick, reached out with an idea for a pergola in their backyard after a tree that had previously given them privacy was removed.

They wanted the pergola to accent the space and provide some privacy for their back deck. We worked with them on a design that fit their backyard and their home's architecture, and settled on a heavy pressure-treated timber design with ornamental black hardware for a timber frame look.

We added a privacy screen on the neighbor's side and built the pergola so climbing vines can grow over it and provide shade in the years to come.

They were so happy with it that they had us come back to rebuild their gate and arbor in stained cedar, built to match a magazine photo Mary had saved.
